Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of helicopter.rentals. The important part is section 2: we are not the airline.
1. Who we are
helicopter.rentals is a helicopter charter concierge and information service. We publish reference data about certificated helicopter operators, arrange charter flights on your behalf, and take payment for those flights. We are an air charter broker, not an air carrier — see section 2, which is the one that matters.
2. We arrange the flight. We are not the airline — read this one
We act as an air charter broker. When you book, you contract with us: we agree to arrange your flight, you pay us one all-in price, and we pay the operator that actually flies it.
What we do not take on is the flying. We hold no air carrier certificate. We do not own, operate, crew, maintain or dispatch any aircraft, and we have no operational control over any flight. The certificated operator retains operational control at all times and alone is responsible for the conduct of the flight, including every decision about airworthiness, crewing, routing, weather and whether to depart at all. Paying us does not transfer any of that to us and could not lawfully do so.
We will identify the operator and their certificate before you commit to a booking. We do not guarantee an operator's performance, and our liability is limited as set out in section 9.
3. Our directory is not a safety endorsement
Our operator records are derived from public regulatory data and, where stated, direct confirmation with the operator. Verification means we checked that an operator appears in the relevant certificate list on the date shown. It does not mean we have audited the operator's safety, maintenance, training, insurance, financial standing or regulatory history. You remain responsible for your own due diligence before chartering.
4. Accuracy
We take reasonable care with the data we publish and state when each record was last checked. Regulatory data changes continuously and may be out of date at the moment you read it. Any price ranges shown are indicative market context, never offers, and never binding on any operator.
5. Quotes, payment and cancellation
Submitting a request creates no obligation on either side. Quotes are free, we may decline to progress a request, and no operator is obliged to quote.
If you accept a quote, the price we give you is inclusive: it covers the charter, positioning, the landing and handling fees we have identified, and our fee. Our fee forms part of that price rather than being added separately, and we will disclose it on request. Anything outside the quoted scope — additional legs, waiting time, a change of aircraft, fees at a facility you add later — is chargeable and we will tell you before it is incurred wherever we can.
Payment is made to us. Deposit, balance-due and cancellation terms are set out on your quote and confirmation before you pay. Because operators impose their own cancellation charges on us, our cancellation terms substantially reflect theirs, and the applicable terms will be stated on the quote. Where a flight is cancelled by the operator or for weather and no charge is incurred, we refund what we hold.
Do not use this site for medical or emergency transport. Air ambulance services are dispatched through emergency services and hospital systems and are not brokered.
6. Acceptable use
Do not submit false or fraudulent enquiries, scrape or bulk-extract the site, misrepresent your identity or authority, or use the site to impersonate an operator. We may withdraw access for any of the above.
7. Operator listings
Listings are compiled from public sources. Inclusion is not a commercial endorsement and does not imply any relationship between us and the operator. An operator may request correction or removal at any time and we will action it.
8. Intellectual property
Our text, design and compiled datasets belong to us. The underlying government records we build on are public data and are not claimed as ours. You may quote and link to us with attribution; you may not republish our compiled datasets wholesale.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of this site or from any flight, contract or dealing with an operator. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with the date they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept them.
